Baptism Is Symbolic
It's a public profession that you have put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and declare to follow Him. Baptism declares to the world that you have died with Christ and that you have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
Baptism Demonstrates Obedience
Jesus was baptized, and it's because of His example of humility that we follow salvation with the next step of baptism. Baptism by immersion in water is referenced many times in Scripture. All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized.
